Monday 10:15-11:45
A unique parent/child group experience for children with sensory integration
needs.
This group will offer:
- Opportunities for spontaneous and guided developmental play and social interaction through sensory activities.
- Learning opportunities that will focus on tactile, vestibular and proprioceptive input.
- Observation and exploration of calming, organizing and alerting responses within a natural play environment that will help the child become more focused, adaptable and skilful in the different developmental areas.
And of course, lots of singing, swinging, snacking, massaging, bubble blowing. Jell-o mushing, goop making, rolling, twirling, tunneling, parachuting, and lots and lots and lots more!
This group is led by an occupational therapist and supported by a multi-disciplinary staff. Parents will be encouraged to be active participants so as to better discover, determine and serve their child's sensory-motor preferences and strategies.
