Parents As Teachers Program

The Early Learning Institute (ELI)’s Parents as Teachers (PAT) program is designed to help promote children’s development and well-being through a healthy home environment and parent support. Through FREE individually tailored home visits, we provide parents with additional information, education, and access to our network of community resources.

Parents as Teachers highlights three major pillars of child development:  Environment, Health, and Education. PAT is an evidence-based home visiting program providing one to two home visits monthly from a Developmental Specialist. These visits help families identify, establish and complete individualized goals while providing resources to ensure the child and family’s success.

Additionally, PAT hosts monthly activities meant to help foster rich learning environments for families. Our program is open to all family configurations, including kinship-care.

In child development, there is a popular saying “It takes a village.” We believe the village is stronger with Parents as Teachers.
